Shop The Handmade Market and help animals in need!
There is no admission fee to Saturday’s Handmade Market, but your $3-$5 suggested donation will benefit AnimalKind, an organization whose mission is to help eliminate the euthanasia of adoptable animals in the Triangle area of NC and beyond.
In exchange for your donation, you’ll receive a free Handmade Market tote bag, courtesy of Ornamentea. (While supplies last – we only have 500!)
You’ll also have a chance to win one of several gift baskets filled with handmade goods and services donated by our Charity Sponsors.
So when you visit The Handmade Market, we hope you’ll consider participating in our fundraiser to benefit AnimalKind. Your small donation can make a big difference!
Street Closures for Saturday, May 3rd
As we mentioned yesterday, there are several street closures in downtown Raleigh on Saturday, May 3rd. Please be sure to check back here for updated information about these closings and how they may affect your trip to The Handmade Market.
The 100 block of S. West St. will be closed at 11 am for an event at the Buckhead Saloon. Please be aware that you will not be able to turn onto West St. from Morgan or Hargett.
Also, the 200 block of W. Hargett St. will be closed between Dawson and McDowell until 4 pm on Saturday.
See the parking map below for street closure information.

Parking for Saturday’s event is available on the neighboring streets and in the two paid city parking lots next to the venue, which are accessible from W. Hargett and S. Harrington.
There is also a free parking lot around the corner from Vintage 21, just a short walk from the venue on W. Hargett St.

In addition to the shopping event, visitors can also make a donation to our fundraiser to benefit AnimalKind. With your suggested donation of $3 – $5, you’ll receive a free goodie bag courtesy of our friends at Ornamentea. (While supplies last!) You’ll also receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a gift basket filled with donated goods and services from our generous Charity Raffle Sponsors.
We’re also pleased to offer refreshments from Ferlo’s Alimentary and yummy locally made frozen treats from our friends at LocoPops!
Important Parking and Traffic Info:
We’ve just been informed that the Buckhead Saloon next door to The Handmade Market will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo event on Saturday. As a result, the 100 block of S. West St. will be blocked off to vehicle traffic from Morgan St to Hargett St. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Event parking is available on the streets surrounding West St.
