Tasha McKelvey creates beautiful pottery featuring bird and leaf motifs as well as wood grain textures. She also has a lovely line of jewelry that compliments her pottery. We’re excited to have her back yet again at The Handmade Market this coming Saturday!

What do you make, and what inspires you?
I make pottery. I am inspired by cutesy woodland critters and plants that remind me of my childhood. When I was a kid, I loved to look at picture books filled with make-believe creatures, play with my Mom’s German keepsakes and wander around the woods a lot.

What is your favorite spot or thing to do in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill?
The Handmade Market and Raleigh’s Flea Market
