Jimmy Lynn Dykes creates handmade sterling silver and enamel on copper jewelry for her business Wingo Designs.
What do you make, and what inspires you?
I make simple jewelry with enamel on copper and sterling silver. I’m really lucky to have smart, creative, wonderful friends and family that inspire me all day long. I also keep a notebook with me and doodle bunches.
What is your favorite spot or thing to do in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill?
I don’t know ANYTHING about the area and am reading your blog to discover some fun places to visit while I’m there for the show … very excited!
What music do you listen to while crafting or creating?
I listen to XM’s “real jazz” or “seriously sinatra” stations when I’m in the studio.
Guilty pleasure:
Homemade sweet treats.
Beer or wine:
Neither one right now — we are expecting our first baby, yipeeeeeeee!!! But normally, a really cold cheap beer… in a can, no less.
So stop by the Wingo Designs table on Saturday, November 7 to check out Jimmy Lynn’s silver and copper jewelry … and congratulate her on her “next big project”! |
