Describe your style, influences, inspiration, and what you plan to bring:I make functional pottery in my studio adjacent to downtown Raleigh. I am inspired by traditional craft and contemporary design. These influences are expressed in wares that are earthy and elegant with a modern approach to handmade pottery.
I bringing lots of tableware and home goods that serve as the perfect accent while doing their job well! Some of my new items include incense burners and extra large planters. I’ll always have an amazing selection of the staples, though, such as mugs and serving bowls.
In your experience, what has been your best venue for selling your work:
Instagram and having events at my shared studio were the biggest sales lessons of last year! Craft shows are also invaluable in connecting with new and returning custumers.
What is your favorite way to put yourself in the mood for creativity?:
My studio mates, music and all of the beverages!
What is the weirdest job you have ever had?:
I served a short stint as the lady in a mumu putting a Lei on passengers who flew to Hawaii on private airplanes!
