Describe your style, influences, inspiration, and what you plan to bring:
We offer vintage mid century modern and new handcrafted furnishings with a minimalist aesthetic. We love natural materials including wood and leather, but aren’t afraid of a little pop of color either. We especially love the challenge of bringing an old piece of furniture back to life! When we acquire designer vintage pieces we like to stay true to the original finish. However, if a piece is beyond repair or a vintage replica, we love to give it a new twist! This Urban Vintage we plan to bring a vintage Wassily chair. Because the chair is not an original design by Marcel Breuer, we are giving it an unexpected finish! Besides accent chairs, our best vintage sellers are dining sets, desks, coffee tables, record cabinets and credenzas.
Refurbishing vintage furniture has inspired us to create our own new designs! We will be bringing some of our original accent shelves with leather straps. You can visit our booth to learn more about our other custom designs including desks and tables!
Who are your style crushes/vintage icons/fashion muses, and why/how do they influence you?:
We are inspired by the work of mid century furniture designers such as Charles and Ray Eames. We love that they designed beautiful, functional, and timeless pieces, and because of the simplicity of their designs, we believe they can fit into just about any space.
We also are very influenced by the work of interior designer and stylist, Emily Henderson. We love that she believes, “A room is soulless without something that is vintage or antique.” We agree, and we also agree with her philosophy that your home should reflect who you are! With that being said, we realize it’s not always practical to fill your home will all vintage pieces. Therefore, we also offer new complementary products to help complete your space.
