We did it! The LAST Handmade Market was one for the record books. We greeted a couple thousand people, we hugged at least half that many, or so it seemed, and we celebrated the end of an era with so many great artists who have become friends to us through the years.
The Market was jam packed with goodness! The artists really brought their best. It’s so fun for us to be around so many artistic people.
Thank you shoppers for coming out in droves to support the little show that grew into something special over the last dozen years! You were especially kind to everyone.
Thank you to our incredible friends at DECO Raleigh. They have stood by us for years and years. Since the beginning of their downtown Raleigh store, they have supported The Handmade Market in the best way. Please take your love for handmade art into their store at 207 South Salisbury Street. You will be able to purchase from such a huge selection of handmade goodness. Many, many local and regional artists are represented at DECO. Tell them you heard about their generosity from us. We would love them to know how many people they have reached.
And speaking of reaching many people, did you get a chance to learn about our chosen charity, Neighbor to Neighbor? Because of YOU, we raised $930 for Neighbor to Neighbor. The Artists donated SO generously, the most beautiful works of art and fabulous products for our raffle. We were able to present many lucky winners each with a box of the best. And all that money went to Neighbor to Neighbor!
Thank You,Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
One last heartfelt thank you to the artists who participated in all The Handmade Markets over the years. We thought of all of you as we heard the spontaneous round of applause at exactly 5pm, and it brought us to tears.
