The Handmade Market Spotlight: geekchicfashion

When I created geekchicfashion I had women like me (and women like you) in mind. Women who have busy lives, but want to look good and feel comfortable. My jersey skirts and tops are just that: comfortable, versatile yet chic wardrobe staples that are easily dressed up or down. It all began when I was nine with my great aunt and mother’s help. They both made their own clothes in their youth and taught me the basics. In recent years, when off-the-shelf fashion didn’t suit my personal aesthetic or lifestyle, I put my skills to work designing and making clothes for myself. My then-coworkers loved my geometric inspired designs so I made the leap to grow geekchicfashion into a business. Each high quality jersey skirt I make has a subtly geeky story, and I look forward to sharing them with you!

In you experience, what has been your best venue for selling your work:RAP-227_sm_mktg_sm
The best venue for my designs is definitely handmade markets, just like this! It gives my beautiful customers the chance to feel and try on my skirts and accessories for themselves to judge fit and style. I always have my pop up dressing room close by when there isn’t a place to try on!

Which artist at The Handmade Market are you excited to see/meet?
Redden Goods! I love her woven pillows & rugs and seeing all the new beautiful ombre designs she creates!
