Because Mall is a Four Letter Word

Vendor Spotlight: Shade That Lamp

Victoria McCartney make lampshades that can be customize to almost any size and shape for her business Shade That Lamp. She uses fabric to cover new ones or re-covers existing shades. She will have a variety of sizes and shape lampshades for sale on Saturday.

What do you make, and what inspires you?
I love beautiful things, fabric is what inspires my lampshades.  I love that the possibilities are endless.  There is something to fit everyone’s sense of style.

What is your favorite spot or thing to do in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill?
My favorite spot is my home :-)  I love being home with my 3 kids who are 4, 3, and 1 years old.  I live in Morrisville and love our little town.

What music do you listen to while crafting or creating?
I actually love the quiet while making lampshades.  My life is super busy with my little one’s, so I am usually making lampshades in the quiet of their nap.

Guilty pleasure:
I love sitting with a magazine, some hot tea, and any kind of sweet dessert.  I love all desserts and there is dessert after lunch and dinner in our home :-)

Beer or wine:
At the end of a hard day it is a treat to enjoy a glass of wine.  It makes me feel like a grown up and not just a mommy.

Dark, milk, or white chocolate:
I love all 3, but if i had to choose I choose Dark.

So look forward to visiting the Shade That Lamp table on Saturday November 7th, and let Victoria expand your lamp shade horizons.
