Steve Morrison is a Columbia, SC based illustrator and designer making his first appearance at this November’s Handmade Market. We think he’s pretty keen and you will, too.
What are you bringing to The Handmade Market on November 12? Anything new and exciting?
I’m excited to bring my collection of handpainted Christmas ornaments. They’re whimsical and cute, and have a quirky sense of humor. I’m also excited to be offering my unique and customizable block puzzles, which are made of wood and handpainted. I’ll also be selling prints and cards.
What is the best online resource that you’ve used for your business and why?
Outright bookkeeping is great! I also love Illustration Friday as a creative prompt and a way to find inspiration in other artists.
Which artist(s) are you most excited to see at The Handmade Market?
I’m excited to see all the diverse artists working in the region! It’s always inspiring to be around so many brilliant makers, and meet new friends.
What is your favorite fall comfort food? Can you share a link to a recipe or restaurant that serves it up?
My sister in law makes this incredible spicy pumpkin soup that I dream of all year. Really anything with pumpkin–pie, bread, it’s all delightful.
What is the best concert you’ve ever attended?
Seeing Rigoletto at the Met in New York was a dream come true for me. I’m kind of an opera nerd.
Are you on Pinterest? Provide a link to your boards if so!
Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert?
I appreciate the way Colbert stands up for truthiness.
Be sure to come down to The Handmade Market and give Steve a nice Raleigh welcome!
