Just in case you hadn’t noticed, The Handmade Market on November 13 is taking place in a brand spanking new venue! We are so excited about this space, and we think you will be too. It’s Cobblestone Hall, across from Moore Square (the park just south of Marbles Kids Museum and the location of the past few Markets). So it’s a familiar area, the centerpiece of City Market, and a beauty of a historic building.
For those of you who have lived in Raleigh for a while, you may remember this building as Greenshields. It was originally built as an indoor farmers’ market in 1914, which is one of the reasons we are excited to move The Handmade Market here — it really suits our vision of promoting independent, local and regional small businesses, and handmade goods.
The building is gorgeous and was recently completely renovated. It has tons of natural light, room for more artists, and wider aisles for all of our shoppers. For directions and parking information go here, and be sure to check back again as November 13 approaches for road closures, parking tips, and many more artist spotlights. We can’t wait to see you there!
