Describe your style, influences, inspiration, and what you plan to bring:
Traditional craft and contemporary design inspires my work – functional home goods that connect people with material and experience. These influences are expressed in wares that are both earthy and elegant with a modern approach to handmade pottery. The pieces accent your home, inspire ritual and encourage hospitality.
I’m bringing pots for all occasions – good luck coffee cups, third eye shot glasses, flora serving plates and fancy planters for your best house plants.
In your experience, what has been your best venue for selling your work:
Stores with a shared aesthetic and well-curated craft shows help me to meet my best customers.
Which artist at The Handmade Market are you excited to see/meet?:
Lo and Behold!
What is your favorite way to put yourself in the mood for creativity?:
I drink coffee, waste a bunch of time and then feel guilty until I pull some major creative moves to redeem the day. Best case scenario, I get to talk my way through everything with Gretchen Quinn, my studio-mate! Indoor kids love their tunes.
How did you come up with your business name?:
I took the obvious route on that one!
What advice would you give to an artist just starting out and/or what is the best advice you have received for your art & business?:
Just be tenacious and obsessed, that way you have no choice but to tinker and work hard till it catches! Also, surround yourself with people with similar goals so that you can push each other forward.
What is the best comment or compliment you have ever received for your work?
I don’t even like pottery, but I like this!
