Because Mall is a Four Letter Word

That’s what DECO Raleigh is. With more than 60 local artisans represented in DECO Raleigh’s downtown store, they take “LOCAL” seriously!

This is the third time that DECO Raleigh has supported The Handmade Market in the form of sponsorship and just all around general kindness to us!

When DECO Raleigh opened their store at 19 W Hargett St, they hit the ground running.  They are about to celebrate their first anniversary! It’s hard to believe, because when you walk through their door you’ll think they have been a fixture in the downtown Raleigh retail scene for years. There is so much to look at. It’s beautiful, it’s fun, it’s playful, it’s lively, it’s colorful, it’s creative. It’s all that and more!

But just before you walk through their door, look up. This summer there was a new addition to their storefront. A mural of the Raleigh skyline painted by Julie Schmidt. You can even purchase a print to take home for your very own.

There are so many talented artisans represented in this lovely shop. Many of them are listed here with a sample of their work and a short bio. You may see some locals that you recognize and you may be introduced to someone new.

If you work or live downtown, how nice to know that there are some great choices you can walk to for gifts.  And we like their shopping philosophy in that they “wholeheartedly support self-gifting

‘Like’ DECO Raleigh on Facebook and you’ll be in the know with what is going on in their store. Events like First Friday, it’s always a fun time with them! Do you prefer Instagram? They’ve got that covered too.

The Handmade Market thanks YOU once again DECO Raleigh!
