Because Mall is a Four Letter Word

The Handmade Market and Our Community

If you have visited the Market, you know there is no admission fee charged. At each show, we have collaborated with a local charity to raise funds and awareness of its mission.

SAFEchild logoOn May 3rd, our charity partner is SAFEchild whose fundamental mission is to eliminate child abuse, in all its forms, in Wake County. SAFEchild is realizing this goal by working with parents, families, and caregivers to create and sustain nurturing environments for all children.

In lieu of charging admission, visitors to The Handmade Market are given the opportunity to purchase one or more raffle tickets. Each ticket affords our guests the chance to win goods and services from The Handmade Market’s vendors and from other gracious donors we have tapped locally and beyond. Every basket is a tremendous value since each usually starts at $100 minimum. To date we have helped raise nearly $5000 for various local charities.
