Urban Vintage Spotlight: HangarOne Design

Lynda Bryant-Comstock of HangarOne Design

Describe your influences, inspiration, and what you plan to bring:
Welcome to HangarOne Design where mid-century modern and vintage pieces receive an expert makeover to provide distinctive, high quality furnishings. This is more than a business, it is a passion. Passion for great form, structure and style. Passion for sourcing solidly built and stylish furniture. Passion for fabric that will bring life back to a great vintage piece.

I will be bringing an array of small vintage benches that have been restored with new fabric, new stain/paint and a revamped new look. From small sewing benches, vanities, footstools and hallway benches, we will have a variety for all tastes. Come by and take a look.

Who are your style crushes/vintage icons/fashion muses, and why/how do they influence you?:
Milo Baughman, Adrian Pearsall, Arne Jacobson, Eero Saarinen – the greats of modern chair design. I love the clean lines, solid construction, focus on style and comfort these greats created. We continue to use the style and construction techniques they gave us.

What are the things customers seek you out for?:
Chairs, chairs and more chairs! The majority of my work is focused on vintage and mid-century accent chairs. Everyone can use another chair.

What is the oldest thing you own.
I have a deep love of vintage office chairs and I have a early 20th century wood and leather office chair.
